High fashion is more than just a price tag, it is an idea, a mindset that allows you to embrace anything and everything extravagant. When Kendra McGowan booked her fashion shoot with DSTNCT Art Media for her WBFF competition in Atlantic City, she gave full creative control to Dennis and Tessa. 

Tessa, inspired by the drama of high fashion runway, began creating the looks for Kendra. The final three outfits adorned with satin corsets, latex pants, dramatic sleeves, chains, and leather were brought to life with the artistic lighting setups created by Dennis Cruz. When styling, modeling, and lighting all come together to create a story, the images can transcend you to a place that seems magical.

Dennis used the first lighting setup to create contrast, a sharpness and simplicity that makes a bold statement in Kendra’s black dress with exaggerated sleeves. Posing was kept more minimal to strike a balance with the styling and lighting. For the remaining two looks, Dennis showed off his skill and mastery of light to take the images to another dimension. Plastic bags, cans of haze, a dim light room, a model who isn't afraid of trying new poses and a team dedicated to art come together to create images that surpass all expectations.
