Policies

  • No, we do not negotiate price and we politely request you to refrain from asking. Our prices are based on the expertise of the photographer and the amount of work the team puts into every photoshoot. Dennis is a meticulous perfectionist and processes the images with great care and the time it takes is reflected in the price. 

  • Please plan on arriving 15 minutes before your scheduled time. This will allow time for changing so we can begin promptly at your scheduled time. If you are between 15-20 minutes late, we will continue the session, but you will lose that time. If you are more then 20 minutes late, that is considered  a no-show and you will lose your retainer. You can reschedule but will have to pay a new retainer. 

  • We provide you the ability to reschedule your shoot as long as you give us at least 72 hours notice from he date and time of your scheduled session. If you do not give us at least 72 hours notice or if you have to reschedule more than twice, you will forfeit your retainer and have to repay the retainer in order to reschedule.

  • We operate on a non-refundable 50% retainer system. The retainer ensure the team is paid for the work they do outside of the photoshoot. This includes the emails, phone calls, creative planning, mood boards, contract writing, administrative fees, as well as any deposits for rental equipment and/or studio spaces (as needed). Our team immediately goes to work on your project once the retainer is paid, so please be committed to your photoshoot before scheduling an appointment. As long as it is prior to 72 hours before your scheduled shoot, you may transfer your retainer to someone else as a gift if you no longer wish to proceed with your session.

  • We do not provide refunds. Once you purchase a photo session, you are paying for the time and skills of the photographer and the DSTNCT Art Media team. Once we have sent you your images, the team has invested much of their time and has provided a service. Please make sure you have looked at our galleries as the style of our images will be consistent with the work represented on our website. 

  • Our retainer is non refundable. However, if there is a weather occurrence that prevents us from shooting, we will issue the credit to a future session. 

    If you are visiting from out of state:
    We will make our best effort to try and get you in as soon as possible. When planning your trip, please allow for extra days in case of weather issues. If we are unable to reschedule and we cannot accommodate your session within your trip, we will offer a refund minus a $150 administrative fee.  

  • We do not provide RAW images. We believe in delivering a finished product and shoot with the end product in mind. RAW images need to be edited for a final product and we prohibit any manipulation that is not our own as they would not reflect our work.

  • Once your gallery is prepared, it will be available to you online for 10 days, which, after that window of time has passed, it will be archived. If you do not download your images within that time frame, we will reupload the images for an additional 14 days at a $100 replacement fee. We highly encourage you to download your images and select your edits as soon as possible. 

  • For digital files purchased, we will provide you with a print release, but all rights to the images remain with photographer's. To avoid misuse and unauthorized manipulation of the images, we follow industry standards to avoid misrepresenting our brand and compromising our reputation. Additionally, it protects the photographers from having their images reproduced commercially without their permission or compensation. You will need to obtain our written permission or purchase a Commercial Image License if you wish to do anything more than reprint and use this image for personal purposes.

    For our commercial photography sessions, which encompasses any session where the images are intended for profit through self promotion or commercial business marketing, you will receive a 5-year Commercial Image License for the images purchased. This license grants you the freedom to use these images for advertising, commercials, and related materials. Typically, these sessions commence at a starting price of $2200 or more, and they necessitate both a preliminary strategy meeting and a formal contract before we proceed. If you desire an extended or perpetual Commercial Image License, we can discuss this during our strategy meeting, and the specific terms of your license will be detailed in your contract to ensure your unique needs are met.

    If you've previously had a personal photography session and are now interested in utilizing an image for commercial use, we offer the option to purchase a Commercial Image License. Our standard package includes a 5-year Commercial Image License, with a starting rate of $800 per image. We're open to negotiations for multiple images or extended and perpetual Commercial Image Licensing.

    Please note that Commercial Image Licensing is specifically intended for marketing and promotional purposes, such as magazines and billboards. Any form of resale of these images for profit is strictly prohibited unless you opt for a complete purchase of the image copyrights, a process that would involve negotiations facilitated by an attorney.

  • We do use images from photoshoots we've done to promote our company and may choose to incorporate them in our website and/or marketing materials. When you hire our services, you grant us permission to showcase your images on our website, blog, and/or other marketing materials.

  • We have a firm policy against any unauthorized alteration or manipulation of our images. Our images are a vital representation of our brand, and all editing or adjustments must be carried out by ourselves. We take great pride in delivering a finished and distinct product that meets our standard of quality, thus, we must maintain full creative control of our images to preserve our brand.

    Depending on the type of session you've purchased, you will receive either a Print License or a Commercial Image License, but it's important to note that we retain the copyright to all of our images.

  • Within the above drop-down "Do you use our images from our session on your website?", it states:

    "We do use images from photoshoots we've done to promote our company and may choose to incorporate them in our website and/or marketing materials. When you hire our services, you grant us permission to showcase your images on our website, blog, and/or other marketing materials."

    Our body of work encompasses both editorial content and serves as a portfolio. It's important to note that these images are owned and protected by the photographer's copyright. While the photographer may still request a signed model release from you, if deemed necessary, especially when considering commercial use for clients, it's our standard practice to seek your permission before posting on our website or any social media platform. This written communication serves as formal permission, which can take the form of texts, emails, letters, or similar means.

    In cases where the photographer intends to use these images for a commercial client contracted by DSTNCT Art Media Inc., a model release may be required. Whether compensation is involved or not, such arrangements are discussed and agreed upon before the session. Additionally, you may also be asked to sign a written agreement or release for the company that is contracting the work, such as a magazine or marketing firm. Your understanding and cooperation in these matters are greatly appreciated.

  • We are located in Boca Raton, but we service any of the surrounding areas including: Miami Dade County, Fort Lauderdale, Boynton Beach, Miami, Coral Springs, West palm Beach, Fort Myers, Naples, Broward County, and Del Ray. 

  • We recommend booking a session at least 1 month in advance to give us plenty of time to plan the shoot in regards to location, styling, lighting, etc.. If the shoot will require more attention we recommend at least 2-3 months in advance. If you require a session sooner that 1 month out, please don't hesitate to contact us for our availability!

  • We accept Pay Pal, Venmo, Zelle, and ACH. 

  • The precise number of photos will vary depending on the type of session booked and how long the duration of the shoot is. It also depends on how well you are able to take direction and embody confidence. For photos from ANY session, we first go through the photos and delete any unwanted or duplicate shots so that you have only the best images to select from.

    We estimate that you will receive around 25-50 images per hour of a photoshoot.

  • Post production is an essential part of our photography process. It is the step that can turn your already amazing photos into high quality, magazine worthy images. We only want to deliver the highest quality images and, thus, the timeline for each step of post post production is as follows:

    Online Proofing Gallery: 3 - 5 weeks (from shoot date)

    Final Edits: 2 - 3 weeks (from date of selection)

  • Our editing includes:

    • Skin smoothing

    • Blemish and wrinkle treatment

    • Skin color correction

    • Background cleanup

    • Color grading

    • Clothing/garment wrinkle and lint removal

    • Contrast adjustment

    • Cropping

    • Black & White conversion (where appropriate)

  • When your images are ready to be viewed, you will be sent a link to a watermarked online gallery where you will be able to view the best images from the shoot as well as select your favorite photos for us to edit. This gallery will only be online for 10 days, so please make sure to view the gallery and make your selections as soon as possible. We also offer Selection Assistance, whether in person or call via Zoom/Facetime, to help you with your selections if needed.

  • We are a full-service, specialized fashion photography team. We provide our clients with beautiful pieces of art they will cherish for a lifetime. Our packages range from $500-$5000.
